Ich lese manchmal bis zu 3-4 Bücher parallel.
Manchmal finde ich die so spannend, das ich überall so schnell wie möglich wissen muss wie es weiter geht oder manchmal nehm ich mir ein anderes vor, wenn mich das, was ich gerade lese langweilt.

Schon der Quilt auf dem Einband ist sehr ansprechend und das Buch nicht weniger. Jeder der vorgestellten Quilts ist wunderschön. Großartige Ideen - einfach beschrieben und einfach nachzuarbeiten. Na ja, ein bißchen aufpassen muß man allerdings schon, dass einem die Stapel nicht durcheinandergeraten - aber auch hierfür gibt es ein Trick. Die vorgestellten Ideen lassen sich einfach auch auf andere Projekte übertragen - ich habe mich zu einer Randgestaltung mit Crazy-Quadraten bei einem Themenquilt hinreißen lassen und bin begeistert von dem Ergebnis. Durch die beschriebene Technik - die einfach nachzuarbeiten ist - wird wirklich jeder selbst erstellte Quilt ein Unikat. Ich würde dieses Buch jederzeit wiederkaufen.

This book is based on 2 principles: half-square triangles and 2-color quilts. There are 256 ways to arrange 4 triangle blocks (4x4x4x4=256). The book diagrams all 256. My only complaint with the book is that I wish this diagram was larger. The authors cover fabric selection, half-square triangle techniques, and basic quilt instructions in the beginning. Since these are scrap quilts, exact yardage requirements are not given; an estimate is. There are 15 gorgeous quilts complete with instructions and color photos. The quilts vary in size from a 36" square to queen-size. Instructions are only given for one size of each quilt. To finish off the book, a gallery of quilts is included without instructions. Just looking at the gorgeous photos in this book will certainly inspire and motivate you

Mein absoluter Bestseller. Ich habe schon viele Patchworkbücher gesammelt. Aber dieses Buch ist mein Favorit. Die Vielseitigkeit der simpeln Rechetcke verleitet zum sofortigen patchen. Jeder der schon ein paar Quilts genäht hat und dadurch eine Resteansammlung besitzt kann sofort loslegen. Es muss nicht extra Stoff gekauft werden. Hier lassen sich sämtliche Reste zu wunderschönen Quilts verarbeiten - und welche Quilterin will das nicht?
