Meine neuen Bücher (gekauft, geschenkt bekommen, geliehen, ...) ab 26.07.2015

Bei Hugendubel gab es so tolle Mängelexemplare, die schon lange auf meiner Wunschliste stehen. Also habe ich schon wieder zugeschlagen.

Nummer 1:

Die letzte Frau Heinrichs VIII. – Königin, Geliebte, Überlebende.

Fünf Königinnen hatte Heinrich VIII., der alte, sterbende König, schon an seiner Seite. Als sechste Frau sucht er sich Katherine Parr aus – erst einunddreißig Jahre alt und schon zweifache Witwe. Er hätte keine bessere finden können, denn Katherine ist klug, auf Ausgleich bedacht und eine überaus patente Frau. Eva Stachniaks opulenter Roman über die ungewöhnliche Freundschaft zweier Frauen führt den Leser in eine Welt, in der Leidenschaft und Vertraulichkeit auf Heimtücke und Verrat treffen – in die abgründig-geheimnisvolle Welt des russischen Zarenhofs, gehüllt in schweren Brokat und knisternde Seide.

Nummer 3:
Wieder zwei spannende Storys in einem Buch:
Lange bevor America Singer am Casting teilnahm, um die Hand des Prinzen von Illéa zu erobern, gab es bereits ein anderes Mädchen, das um die Liebe zu einem anderen Prinzen kämpfte. In ›Die Königin‹ erzählt Amberley, Prinz Maxons Mutter, von ihrem eigenen Casting und wie sie das Herz von König Clarkson eroberte.
Marlee Tames, die zusammen mit America und 33 anderen Mädchen um die Hand von Prinz Maxon kämpfte, erzählt in ›Die Favoritin‹, wie sie ihrem eigenen Herz gefolgt ist und die Entscheidung ihres Lebens traf.

Nummer 4:
Die 17-jährige Phoenix wächst in der Gemeinschaft krimineller Savants, Menschen mit einer übersinnlichen Fähigkeit, auf. Für deren Anführer muss Phoenix ihre Gabe, das Zeitempfinden in fremden Gehirnen zu manipulieren, zu Diebstählen nutzen und das Gestohlene dann bei ihm abliefern. Als sie bei einer Gruppe amerikanischer Studenten iPads stehlen soll, trifft sie auf Yves Benedict. Doch der ist mehr als ihr nächstes Opfer – er ist ihr Seelenspiegel. Hoffe mal, dass dieser besser ist als die beiden Vorgänger...

Wird Barbarotti kaltgestellt? Aufs Abstellgleis befördert? Mosaiksteinchen um Mosaiksteinchen setzt er zusammen, und als er schließlich begreift, was gespielt wird, hat das weitreichende Konsequenzen

Momentan sind die englischen Bücher bei Thalia fast alle wieder reduziert, da konnte ich nicht wiederstehen..
